ABOUT THE ARTIST
Sha'an d'Anthes @furrylittlepeach
Sha'an d'Anthes is an illustrator and author from Sydney, Australia whose work is vibrant, playful and nostalgic. She has worked with global brands including Samsung, Adobe, Netflix, Audible, and Coca-Cola. Sha'an has two authored and illustrated picturebooks ZOOM and BANDITS (published by Hachette Australia), and documents her life as an illustrator on Instagram and Youtube.
ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I'm really interested in representing time passing through skies and changing colours - this was my first piece in what will likely be a series of paintings of the same title. I find change and uncertainty really uncomfortable, so COVID was a really strange a time - there was a lot of change going on around the world, but it felt like our lives were on pause. It was therapeutic and reassuring to represent time passing, things changing - with a central object remaining the same.
