Lauren Webster is an Australian artist who has shared artwork with local and international audiences for a number of years in both solo exhibitions and group shows. Her creative work comes to life in multiple forms from painting and drawing to mixed media and objects. As well as creating her own artworks and other pieces which showcase her art, Lauren Webster is also known for her creative collaborations. The artist has lent her recognisable aesthetic to collaborative projects with fashion labels, surf and skate brands, photographers, object designers, jewellers, interior decorators, magazines, music festivals and more. 

ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Romantic notions of nostalgia and the promise of adventure are recurring themes in my work and they are very much present in this piece. 'High Noon' is a brand new mixed media artwork which is characteristic of this part of her art making practice. The desert is one of her favourite places to explore and create. This artwork is based around a photograph taken while immersing herself in one such landscape in California.
