ABOUT THE ARTIST
Jordache Gage @jordache___
Jordache Gage (b.1989) is an Abstract Surrealist Artist based in Meanjin (Brisbane) with over a decade of experience painting in the gallery and public realms.
With strong roots in graffiti, his practice was propagated in the exploration and manipulation of public space. With expansion into mural work, Jordache was able to reference his technical proficiency, and expand on and amplify this with deeper conceptual grounding.
Jordache’s aesthetic draws from an amalgamation of movements such as abstraction, cubism and futurism, contemporary art and graffiti. Complimented by a refined colour palette that achieves depth and perspective, his work is both expressive and experimental. It was his transition into a creative space that contributed to the foundations of his present painting practice, which is entirely informed by the emotional pathways he experiences and has become a visual navigation of his personal experiences.
ABOUT THE ARTWORK
"Stopping life, for a life moment.
The choreography of two souls connected by pure love
they danced the dance of all dances as a storm passes by.
As time stood still, dreams bloomed into reality."
